Unidentified deceased male in Nederhemert
On 16 December 2023, the body of an unidentified male was found on the floodplains beside the Heusdensch Kanaal in Nederhemert, the Netherlands. The man is believed to have died as the result of a crime. If you recognize the man from the post-mortem drawing, we would like to hear from you.

Description
The man’s body probably ended up in the water in mid November or early December. We want to know who is responsible for his death. The man received a municipal funeral, and we would like to inform his next of kin. Unfortunately, despite extensive investigations, we have not yet been able to establish the man’s identity. We have, however, established – on the basis of isotropic investigation by the Dutch Forensic Institute – that he very probably grew up eastern Europe, probably Poland or Bulgaria. He may have lived in western Europe in recent years.
In December 2023, the clothing the man was wearing was shown on Opsporing Verzocht, a Dutch television programme that enlists the public’s help with unsolved crimes. Recently a post-mortem drawing was produced. This drawing may differ from how the man looked when he was alive, as it is very difficult to capture the look in somebody’s eyes. Moreover, it is possible that the drawing shows the man as sturdier than he really was, because his body had been in the water for some time. One striking detail is that one of the man’s teeth was longer than the others, which may make him easier to recognize.
Description
• Height approximately 1.60 meters
• Short hair
• Aged between 35 and 55
• Teeth in poor condition, some rotten teeth; one tooth appeared longer than the others

The man seemed to be lightly dressed for the time of year. He was wearing:
• A grey T-shirt with a chest pocket
• Black pregnancy leggings, two pairs over each other
• Black legwarmers
• Black leather sneakers with white soles, make Puma
