The man had several lethal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body was never identified. The police in the Netherlands now believe this man was originally from Colombia or Ecuador and possibly left there just weeks before his violent death. Spokesperson Martin de Wit: “We still hope to find his relatives so we can give them answers about their loved one. We have a very recognizable reconstruction of the victims face. By identifying this man we hope we can continue our investigation.”

Description
It’s early in the morning on the 6th of September 2005 when a loud noise is heard near the town of Huizen. Soon after that officers respond to a call about a fire in the area. When the officers arrive they find a burning wooden closet. In the closet they find the body of a man. His hands and his head are missing.
It’s almost a year later when there is again a disturbing discovery. In the water of the Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal, about 30 kilometers from Huizen officers find a plastic bag with hands and a head. It turns out they match the body that was found in Huizen.
The police again started an investigation to, at least, find out who the victim was. But the answers never came. Thanks to new analyses of the isotopes it is now clear that the victim was only for a short time in the Netherlands. Maybe just a couple of weeks. Spokesperson Martin de Wit: “We now know he was from South America, possibly from Colombia or Ecuador. We strongly believe there are still people who are missing their friend, their brother or their son. Please contact us if you know someone who is missing since 2005. Via DNA-analysis we hope we can find a resolution to this mystery.”
The unidentified person was between 20 and 50 years old. He was wearing a rare brand of Cortigiani trousers and a Cartier belt. He had dark hair, well cared teeth and had a well-muscled body. The man had an appendix surgery in his past.
