Police is looking for specific witness fatal stabbing incident during Solid Grooves
Amsterdam - The Police have repeatedly called for (specific) witnesses of the fatal stabbing incident during the Solid Grooves festival on Sunday, 28 May at Donauweg. A 21-year-old man from Diemen died as a result.
Many people responded and the call for witnesses also led to dozens of tips coming in. It significantly aided the progress of the investigation and the investigation team is indeed grateful to everyone who took the trouble to share their information.
Important witness
In the meantime, information has emerged from the investigation that one visitor of the festival in particular might have very important information. In fact, this witness has almost certainly seen the incident happening at close range. The investigation team has not been able to speak to her yet and that is why the investigation team urges anyone to come forward who many know who this visitor is, or alternatively, you may recognize yourself in the description.
Unfortunately, the investigating officers do not know much about this witness. However, it is almost certain that the woman is not of Dutch origin. She spoke English but according to witnesses, it was clearly not her mother tongue. The woman was presumably in her thirties with a medium to plump build and she was wearing a skirt or a dress. She allegedly visited the festival with a man, possibly her partner or an acquaintance of hers.
After she possibly witnessed the terrible incident up close, the witness allegedly said something (in English) along the lines of: “I have seen everything” and “the stabbing happened just before my eyes”. Other witnesses state that the woman was very upset and that she was comforted by bystanders.
